These are 4 unfulfilled promises of God before the return of Jesus
1. The Gospel will go to every nation and ethnic group: Matt 24:14- “The Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole earth, as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
a. Prayer for God to raise up Missionaries in all nations and languages
b. Prayer for God’s blessing on declaration of the gospel. Pray for ministry to the poor and oppressed
c. Prayer for this scripture to be fulfilled “in our generation”
2. There will be unprecedented, supernatural unity in the Church as the Father answers Jesus’ final prayer: John 17: 20-26- “let them be one as we are one...that the world may know that you sent me and have loved them even as you love me.
a. Praying Jesus’ prayer with faith that “Jesus gets what He asks for”
b. Asking for the breaking down of historic enmities and barriers within the broader Christian community
c. Actively practicing reconciliation during the 10 Days. Practicing “horizontal intercession”
3. There will be a global outpouring of the Holy Spirit: Joel 2:28-30- “I will pour our My Spirit on all flesh...Before the great and awesome day of the Lord.”
a. That the outpouring for the Spirit that began on Pentecost would continue and be increased in our day.
b. That God would release “the best wine, saved for last (John 2) in our lifetimes.
c. Acts 4:29-30: That God’s servants would be enabled to “speak your word with great boldness” and that God would stretch out His hand to “heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
4. There will be wide-spread salvation among Jewish People: Rom. 11:15: “For If their (Jewish people) rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?”
a. Romans 10:1. “My heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they maybe saved.”
b. Rom 9:3. “I could wish that I myself were...cut off from Christ for the sake of ... the people of Israel.”
c. Rom. 11:12 “If their loss means riches for the Nations, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!
