YOU DESERVE BETTER: Empowering Healthy Sexuality in the Church is a adult workshop designed to bring healing, clarity, and discipleship to an often-avoided topic. Through a biblically faithful and professionally informed lens, we will address intimacy, desire, boundaries, and sexual health. While presented with discretion and honor, this workshop will include honest discussion of intimate topics related to marriage and adult relationships.
An outline of modules for this workshop include:
- Let's Talk About It: Why Silence Isn't Sacred
- Sexuality is God's Design: Sex as God's Plan, Not Taboo
- You Were Made For Pleasure: How God Made Our Bodies Work
- Unveiling Her: Freeing Female Sexuality
- Yes, No, and Maybe: Consent & Respect in Godly Relationships
- Hands On or Hands Off? The Masturbation Conversation
- Table Talk, Not Pillow Talk: A Guide to Honest Intimacy
- Healing and Hope: The Impact of Sexual Trauma
- Enhancing Intimacy: Exploring Toys and Tools Without Shame

TRIGGER AWARENESS: This workshop is intended for mature married and single Christian adults (ages 18+) and will address sensitive subject matter. Sessions will include discussions of topics such as sex, sexuality, trauma, violence, assault, consent, boundaries, abuse, healing journeys, and mental health.
These conversations may be difficult or triggering for some participants. Please take care of yourself during this time; you are welcome to step out, pause, or seek support, as needed.
Matthew and Erica Pagliaro bring a powerful blend of pastoral care, medical expertise, biblical truth, and lived wisdsom to their teachings and trainings. Their 16 years of marrage and time spent in Kingdom ministry add a wealth of experience to the conversations of faith, identity, and sexuality. And while the connection and passion the Pagliaros share today is strong, they confess to having learned many of their greatest lessons about sex and intimacy "the hard way." As a result, they carry a profound empathy for those walking through their own seasons of silence and are dedicated to helping every individual -- whether married or single, and in any season of life -- step into the radical freedom and wholeness Christ died for.
ABOUT MATTHEW & ERICA:
Matthew brings a unique "frontlines" perspective to the complexities of human connection having spent the past 13 years in Critical Care as a Registered Nurse and serving as a federal labor union president. Throughout his career of handling high-stakes environments and advocating for thousands, he has learned to maneuver through all manners of crises with a clear head -- a skill Matthew now uses as a certified Connections Codes Coach to help others navigate their own most difficult seasons. HIs goal as a coach is to break "The Silent Disconnect," moving individuals and groups from the exhaustion of high-conflict tension to the security of high-trust connection. Whether helping young men navigate the pressures of modern masculinity or guiding long-married couples through the "quiet burnout" of their relationship, Matthew provides the practical tools needed to help others reclaim their trajectory.
With nearly a decade of experience in ministry leadership, Erica has a profound "heart for the brokenhearted" and a relentless calling to help individuals reach their full God-given potential. She has served as a certified HeartSync® Facilitator since 2022, blending spiritual formation with emotional healing to resolve deep-seated wounds and spiritual misalignments in others. Erica also brings a uniquely holistic perspective to healing developed through her diverse background as a fitness professional, homeschool mother, and youth pastor. She is the founder of EMP Wellness and has dedicated her life to championing the unseen, empowering them to discover their inherent significance through the celebration and cultivation of total wellness -- spirit, soul, and body.
Matthew and Erica are high school sweethearts and are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters. They have navigated seasons of martial doubt, absolute bliss, scarcity, over-abundance, miscommunication, and spiritual growth. And through it all, their journey has taught them that it is never too late to discover wholeness and healing for yourself and your relationships.
